This unique site was planted in 1978 on own-roots in Santa Ynez Valley. It sits at 1100ft in elevation on sandy, well-drained limestone rich soils. We foot-treaded 50% of the fruit before pressing it off to ferment in neutral oak and stainless steel drums. After primary fermentation was complete the wine aged in neutral french oak for 9 months on lees.
